Donna J. Hyde 59 of Cerro Gordo left this world to be with the Lord, after a long and Courageous battle with Lupus on Thursday May 27, 2004 with her Loving family at her side.
Memorial Mass will be 10:00 am Tuesday June 1, 2004 in St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Dennis Kollross Celebrant. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Donna's name to the Lupus Foundation at Decatur Earthmovers Credit Union. A reception celebrating Donna's life will be held 3:00- 6:00 pm Tuesday June 1, 2004 at Judy's Kitchen Banquet Room in Cerro Gordo. Donna was born on January 30, 1945 in Decatur the daughter of Howard and Mary Boenig Hawthorne. She married Thomas Hyde on December 22, 1964. She gave Tom five beautiful children Jeannette, Tony, Troy, Monta, and Shanna.
Donna was Tom's sunshine. He gave her a very rich and loving life. Tom and Donna purchased their R.V. after retiring and traveled all across the country. They are members of the FMCA #225161. In their travels they met many dear friends. Donna was a huge Elvis fan, enjoyed crocheting, and going to flea markets. She taught her children so many of her great qualities, tremendous love, strength, patience, understanding, and kindness.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years Tom, daughter, Jeannette Matthews and husband Gary of Conroe, TX; sons, Tony and wife Deana of Cerro Gordo; Troy and wife Alyssa of Lake City; Monta and Companion Jessica Lewis of Cerro Gordo, daughter, Shanna Beavan and husband Shayne of Houston, TX; mother Mary Hawthorne of Decatur; brother Larry Hawthorne and wife Sharon of Decatur; sisters, Karen Kelly and husband Darryll of Mt. Zion; Phyllis Radley and husband Jerry of Mt. Zion; her adored grandchildren Andy Parr and Kali Matthews of Conroe, TX; and Cora Hyde of Cerro Gordo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother Eddie.
