Donna Kaye Palmer-Jackson, 61, of Decatur, IL, a true soldier of the cross was called from her labor, to go home to her heavenly father, on Wednesday. August 22, 2018. She fought a good fight, she finished her course, she kept the faith.
Donna Kaye Palmer-Jackson was born May 20, 1957, in Decatur, IL to the parents: Dorsey Palmer and Cathleen Banks. Donna worked as a Case Manager at Heritage Behavioral Health Center for 25 years. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her grandchildren. Donna loved to shop, interior decorate, have garage sales, go to garage sales, and would always go out of her way to make sure her grandchildren and family wore a smile on Christmas Day.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church 240 N Edward St, Decatur, IL 62522, with visitation an hour before the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Decatur.
Donna Kaye Palmer-Jackson leaves behind so many to cherish her memory; her significant other of 13 years, Michael Miller of Decatur, IL; 2 sons, Richard (Shera Gause) Palmer, Brett (Taneka Shipp) Jackson of Decatur, IL; one stepdaughter, Kimberly (Larry) Griggs of Florida: 4 granddaughters, Rakyia Palmer of Nashville, TN, Mahkyla Palmer, Mariyah Palmer and Malaysia Palmer all of Decatur, IL; grandson, Tahkylin Clemmons of Decatur, IL: 1 brother, John (Sandra) Kidd of Decatur, IL:1 sister, Angela Williams of Decatur, IL: 2 nieces, Lisa (John) Yazel and Laquisha Freeman both of Decatur, IL: 1 nephew, Michael (Diasia) Kidd of North Carolina.
Donna Kaye Palmer-Jackson was preceded in death by: her parents: 1 son, Ryan Jackson: grandparents: 2 aunts: Madeline Joy and Carrie Bowens; 1 uncle, Richard Joy.
