Doris Irene Kapper's Obituary
Doris Irene Kapper, 96, of Forsyth, IL, passed away on Sunday (12-01-2024) at 12:40 A.M. at Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth, IL.
Doris was born on May 16, 1928, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Raymond W. Neibuhr and Helen L. (Fox) Neibuhr. She married Maurice E. “Pete” Kapper on February 17, 1946. He passed away on February 29, 2024.
She was a member of Our lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Doris loved flowers, cooking, reading, animals (especially pets) and she babysat alot.
Doris is survived by her children: Vicki Largent and husband Jeff of Decatur, IL, Dennis Kapper and wife Victoria of Decatur, IL, and Donna Merrill of Argenta, IL; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Elaine Kapper, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Kevin, one brother Guy Neibuhr, one sister Wilma Jones, son-in-law Reggie Merrill, daughter-in-law Shirley (Hood) Kapper.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Hickory Point Christian Village for all of their care and compassion.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday (12-07-2024) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday (12-06-2024) at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. The burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park.
