Dorma Oldfield's Obituary
Dorma E. Oldfield passed away Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 after extended illnesses at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Decatur Illinois. She was born July 5, 1933 in Decatur Illinois to Luther Ward and Caroline Sheets. On April 8, 1951 she married the love of her life, Jim Oldfield Sr., now deceased.
She leaves behind two sons Jim Oldfield and his wife Deb of Grand Rapids, MI and Terry of Mt. Zion, and a daughter, Dawn Redfearn and husband Mike of Wentzville, Missouri. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, James Oldfield (Jenna), Jonathan Oldfield and Jason Oldfield (Stephanie), all of Michigan, Sarah Reynolds (Eric) of Missouri, Seth Oldfield of Danville, Stephen Redfearn of Missouri, Kelsey Wolken (Seth) of Missouri. She leaves ten great grandchildren; Olivia, Xavier, Andrew, Rowan, Zander, Rosie, Kate, Mazie, Gavin and Sawyer. She leaves her brother Ronnie and his wife Joann Ward and dozens of nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Also a special thank you to beloved family members Marian Oldfield and Marilyn Scherer, who helped mom immeasurably.
Dorma was preceded in death by her parents Luther Ward and Caroline Sheets, two sisters Goldie Tripp and La Verne Streight and five brothers, Raymond, Wayne, Willie, Jerry and infant Ward.
Funeral Service to celebrate Dorma’s life will be 2 PM Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-2 PM Sunday in the funeral home.
Following the service there will be a funeral procession to Mt. Gilead Cemetery after the services, for internment next to her husband. We love you mom and we will truly miss you.
