Dorothea Eileen Doolin's Obituary
Dorothea Eileen Doolin, 93, of Decatur, passed away Monday evening, March 30, 2015, at Imboden Creek Living Center with her family by her side.
Dorothea was born June 30, 1921 in Maroa, to Ruth Lehman. She married Leo E. Doolin in St. Charles, MO. He passed away April 30, 1999. She was a member of Mound Chapel Church of God since she was 12 years old. She sang in the choir and served on the church board.
She is survived by five sons, Larry (Margaret) Doolin of Mansfield, TX, Jerry (Carol) Doolin, Gary Joe (Joan) Doolin, Richard (Sue) Doolin and Steve (Tricia) Doolin all of Decatur; one daughter, Sherry Doolin of Decatur; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Leo and her step-brother, Bill Stonebreaker.
Services to celebrate the life of Dorothea Doolin will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Mound Chapel Church of God.
