Dorothy Dean Harding's Obituary
Dorothy was a daughter of Joseph and Bernadine Bertmann Cashen. She moved to Decatur in 1922, and graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1937. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was very active as a volunteer. She married Robert D. Harding on November 27, 1945 in Decatur. They lived in Decatur except for 1974-1985 when they lived in Champaign. Mr Harding preceded her in death on August 25, 1989.
She is survived by her daughters: Janice McGowan of New Jersey; Bernadine Tolzien, husband Wayne of Arlington Heights, IL.; and Mary Kay Thede, husband Bruce of Cincinnati, OH.; sons, Joe Harding, wife Carol and Richard Harding, wife Cindy all of Decatur; Craig Harding of Austin, TX.; and David Harding, wife Erin of Champaign, IL.; sister, Marcella Tilton of Danville, IL.; seventeen grandchildren, one great grandson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her parents, husband, one brother, and two sisters preceded her in death.
