Dorothy J. Justice's Obituary
Dorothy J. Justice, 81, of Decatur, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Vonderlieth Living Center, Mt. Pulaski.
Dorothy was born April 21, 1926, in Decatur, the daughter of George W. and Mary Knuckle Venters. She was a member of Parkway Church of the Nazarene and worked in the kitchen at Swartz’s Restaurant. Dorothy married Robert E. Justice May 20, 1950 in Clinton and he preceded her in death March 26, 1997.
She is survived by her children: Fred Carolyn Barrett of Latham, Nick G. Victoria Barrett of S.C., Robert E. Mary Jane Justice of Mansfield; daughter, Ruth E. David Taylor of Oreana; daughters-in-law: Theodosia “Teddy” Barrett of Decatur and Francisca Barrett of S.C.; sister, Mary E. Reed of Decatur; 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, 1 sister and grandson, James Russell “Jimmy” Barrett.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, March 15, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Brown Cemetery. Memorials: Parkway Church of the Nazarene.
