Dorothy Mae Pattin 77 of Decatur went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday October 2, 2004 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday October 6, 2004 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday October 7, 2004 in New Salem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dorothy was born December 4, 1926 in New Madrid, MO, the daughter of Jesse and Ida Mae Perry Johnson. She was the second oldest of eight children. She was married to Eddie D. Pattin, he preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and a beloved member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church for 30+ years, where she served in many areas of church ministry.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sons; James Francie Johnson and Larry Cole both of Decatur, Vernell Tracie Pattin of New Bern, NC; her daughters include, Lavern Tucker, Mary Pattin, Samantha Chaney all of Decatur, Ida Hardin Davis of Carbondale; Sisters, Hazel Amos and Ruby James Dowell of Wyatt, MO, Alma Jean Clinton of Benton Harbor, MI and brother, Murry Asbury of Charleston, MO. Her grandsons include, Jerome Davis, Robert Tucker, Michael Tucker, Greg Tucker, Tony Chaney, Atheree Chaney, Darryl Smith, James Johns, Jason Johnson, Josea Bryant, Demetrius Pattin, Marsean Pattin, Donell Gause and Zaylan Johnson. Granddaughters, Tina Tucker, Teresa Ricks, Wilma Brown, Debra Pattin, Michell Davis, Christy Davis, Denise Johns, Tanisha Johnson, Shawna Gause, Tenyeka Gause, Olivia Pattin and a host of great grandchildren and great – great grandchildren and other family members.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Edward Johnson and Michael Pattin, three brothers, Arby Asbury, Aaron Asbury and Albert Perry, one sister, Annie Bell Riley.
