I worked with Doug at Rural King for a couple of years and he was a stand up guy. He was always sharing his wealth of knowledge with us young guys. So sad to hear of his passing. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.Brandon Edwards
Uncle Doug always seemed larger than life to me. He was a big man with an even bigger heart. I remember fondly the times he took me fishing and am fortunate to have spent some quality quite time with him recently. I am confident that God has welcomed Uncle Doug home and pray that His grace provide comfort and strength to Aunt Sharon, Dawn, Bobby and Robin.

I was 13 when I met Doug. He jumps of a truck wearing work boots, jeans and a white t-shirt with his smokes rolled in the sleeve. He had a smooth james Dean look and a confidence that I think is what swept my sister Sharon off her feet. Motown 45's and Bill Cosby records to listen for exchange to keep our 2 younger sisters busy was great payment for me while my sister and Doug could talk and smooch. I thought my sister was smart. She proved it by marrying this man. They gave one another a good life. I'm going to miss him .
