E. Allegra Bollero's Obituary
Our loving Mom E. Allegra Bollero, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday November 8th at the home of her daughter Kay Chrysler in Alva, Florida.
Allegra was born in Decatur on December 22, 1908, one of eleven children. In her early years she worked as a bookkeeper for Bachman Furniture store in Decatur, Illinois. In 1937 she married John Bollero and became a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was active in the right to life movement with Phyllis Schlafly and the Eagle Forum. Her Catholic faith guided her throughout her life.
Allegra is survived by her daughter Kay Chrysler and husband Bill of Alva, FL, her son John Bollero and wife Kathie of Palm Beach, FL and daughter Mary Ellen Bollero of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Billy Cindy Chrysler of Ft. Myers, FL, Matthew Bollero of Minneapolis, MN, Alessandra Bollero of Milwaukee, WI; Great granddaughter Sara Grace Chrysler of Ft. Myers, FL. Also surviving is her sister, Hilary Jack See of Minneapolis, MN. Allegra was preceded in death by her parents William F. and Laura B. Clark Bowman, her husband John A Bollero, two brothers and seven sisters.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 14th in St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Teresa High School, 2710 N.
