Earl V. Logue's Obituary
Earl V. Logue, 91, of Decatur passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in St. Mary's Hospital.
Earl was born on August 13, 1921 in Decatur the son of Joseph and Lillie (Rankin) Logue. He was in the Merchant Marines during WWII and was retired from Caterpillar Manufacturing. He married Edna Stone on November 10, 1951 in Decatur. She preceded him in death in 1980. He later married Abby Jean in 1982 in Decatur. She also preceded him in death in 2007.
Surviving are his daughters, Shelley Bennett (Steve) of Decatur; Lana Jones (John) of Decatur; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, 1 brother, Joseph, and 1 sister, Ada.
Funeral service to celebrate Earl's life will be 11 AM Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
