Edith L. Wilkinson's Obituary
Edith L. Wilkinson 100 of Decatur died Thursday June 17, 2004 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Monday June 21, 2004 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Greene officiating. Visitation will be 4-6:00 pm Sunday in the funeral home. Edith was born on October 23, 1903 in Decatur the daughter of Elijah and Lucinda Funk Myers. She was associated with 1st Baptist Church and Boiling Springs Church of God. She was a Homemaker and a Die-Hard Cubs Fan. She married James Wilkinson on August 29, 1924 in Decatur he preceded her in death on October 16, 1969.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Moreau and Husband Gaston of Decatur; Norma Beneze and Husband David of Canon City, CO; Peggy Atkins and husband Ronald of Decatur; Betty Pritchett of Decatur; and Carol Aldridge and husband Bennie of Chestnut; 29 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband one daughter Alma Black, three sons Charles Wilkinson, Billy Wilkinson, and James Wilkinson, three sisters, and two brothers.
