Edmund E. Weidner's Obituary
Edmund E. Weidner, 76, of Decatur passed away on April 19, 2010 in Heartland Health Care of Decatur.
Funeral services celebrating Edmond’s life will be 11:00 am Friday April 23, 2010 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield with Military Rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer society.
Edmond was born on February 4, 1934 the son of Lyle Franklin and Evelyn K. Van Syckle Weidner Sr. He was a Veteran of the US Army. He was an independent truck driver and a member of the Moose Lodge. He married Janice Wolfe on August 30, 1957 she preceded him in death on September 21, 1999.
Surviving are his sons, Doug Weidner Kathy of Decatur; Martin Weidner of Robinson; sisters, Patricia Miller of Farmer City; Jolene Peifer Ron of Waynesville; Donna Weidner of Monticello; granddaughter, Marilyn Winhorn Cory of Clinton; companion, Ollie Burcham of Decatur; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife two brothers, Lyle Weidner Jr. and Gerald Weidner, one sister, Betty Peters, and two children Ricky and Brenda.
