Edward Lawrence Johnson's Obituary
Edward Lawrence ”Ed” Johnson, 47 of Decatur, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2003.
Homegoing services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday February 18, 2003 in New Salem Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday from 6 until 8 P.M. in J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home, and one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Ed was born in Wyatt MO. on September 10, 1955 the son of Clarence Scott and Dorothy Johnson. Ed graduated from Stephen Decatur High School. He was known for his love of sports and will be missed by his many teammates. Though he will be missed by family and friends, we take comfort knowing he’s now on God’s Heavenly Team.
He leaves not to mourn, but to cherish fond memories his mother, Dorothy Pattin of Decatur; father, Clarence Scott of Wyatt, MO.; daughter, Tanisha Johnson; son, Zalyn L. Johnson both of Decatur; fiance’, Darcell Walker of Decatur; sisters: LaVern Tucker, Samantha Chaney, and Mary D. Pattin all of Decatur, Ida Davis Hardin of Carbondale; brothers: James Johnson Francie, and Larry E. Cole all of Decatur, Vernell Pattin Tracie of North Carolina; and so many nieces and nephews, a host of great nieces, great nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Johnson.
