Edward Lee Taylor 73 of Decatur died Sunday September 18, 2005 in his home.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday September 22, 2005 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Ed was born on October 13, 1931 in Beardstown the son of Fred C, and Alta M. Jones Taylor. He worked as a gas station attendant for Liberty Station and Redbird and worked for PDQ Delivery before his illness.
Surviving are his life partner, Ruby Pettyjohn, son Rickey Norvell of Harrison, AR; daughters, Sandra Kieser of Pekin; Cathy Ladd of Harrison, AR; brother, Everett and wife Polly of Pekin; sisters, Opal Nash of Pekin; Bertha Calloway and husband Bob of Bloomington; Pat Canada of Baltimore, MD; step-sons, Gary Pettyjohn and wife Diana Harristown; James Pettyjohn and wife Susan of Mt. Zion; step-daughters Patricia Ellis of Decatur; Karen Majors and husband Charles of Decatur; Debra Ewing and husband Randy of Decatur; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, twenty step-grandchildren, many step-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, several great- nieces and great-nephews, and a pet cat Patches.
His parents, infant son Ronald Edward Taylor, six brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death.
