My mother, Velma Hardcastle, taught 2nd grade at Oreana Grade School. She and Eileen became friends and got years, I came to know Eileen through taking my mom to AO Retured Teachers monthly luncheons. I loved Eileen’s laugh…happy disposition and detail-rich stories. I will always remember Mrs. Sleeth reading Charlotte’s Web to my third grade class and the occasion when she put her own name in “the doghouse” because she kept misspelling a fellow student’s name. She taught me to never judge a book by its cover, even authority figures need to follow the rules, and there is always something to do if you look around you (so NEVER use the “B” word (bored)), and much more. This lovely woman has made a huge, positive impact in my life and the lives of many others. She is loved and will be greatly missed!
Mrs Sleeth was one of my Argenta Grade School teachers in 70's. I have fond memories of her class. I am sorry to hear of her passing. I am praying for the Sleeth family in this time of loss.
I was one of Mrs Sleeth’s students at Argenta Grade School in the early 60’s. She was one of my favorite teachers. I’m sorry to hear of her passing.

So sorry for your loss! Eileen was such a classy lady. I enjoyed her organizing the lunches at Perkins and the fellowship that was shared. I got a kick out of her always wanting to go there for the free piece of pie. She will definitely be missed. Prayers to all of the family.
