Elaine Marie Snyder's Obituary
Elaine Marie Snyder, 66, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Elaine was born August 10, 1954 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John and Marie Fortner.
Elaine was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Monty Snyder; parents, John and Marie Fortner; special friends, Catherine Neilsen and Harry Meyers; and her beloved dogs, Duke, Sargeant, and Captain.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Danielle Snyder; son, Jeremiah Snyder; her dog, Penny; best friend, Sharon Nielsen; grandpuppies, Maximus and Khaos; cousin, Annette (Chuck) Mauck; nephew, Tyler Snyder and his daughter, Arabella; special friends, Erica (Joe) Brown and their children, Keagan and Aurora; Katie Braemer and her children; Ashley Dawson and her children, Ashton and Jensen; Phyllis Kissell; Linda Calabro; Randy Kowalski; as well as many extended family and friends.
The family would like thank Dr. Mario Velasco and Dr. Howard Yoon of the Cancer Care Center of Decatur, Hickory Point Christain Village, and all of the staff for their loving care.
A graveside Memorial Service for Elaine will be held at 2pm Friday, April 9, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery in Decatur, IL. All COVID protocols will be followed.
