Eleanor Jeanette Antosz's Obituary
Eleanor Jeanette Antosz, 85, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Eleanor was born August 10, 1931, in Bonfield, IL to Francis and Laura (Wagner) Rice. She married Joseph Antosz on July 1, 1950 in Goodrich, IL. He passed away April 1, 2001. Eleanor was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Rhodes of Decatur; three grandchildren, Michael J. (Tasha) Rhodes of Marseilles, IL, Elizabeth A. (Patrick) Harding of Decatur and Victoria L. (Mark) Williams of Decatur; four great-grandchildren, Tyeler Roedl, Lucas Rhodes, Landon and Addison Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; two brothers, Robert and Ralph Rice; and one sister, Doris Gagnon.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life at 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016, with the Rev. Richard Weltin, celebrant. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Herscher, IL. Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Hospice Unit 800 E. Carpenter St. Springfield, IL 62679
