Elizabeth A. Dawson's Obituary
Elizabeth A. “Liz” Dawson, 94, of Southern Pines, NC passed away on Tuesday November 10, 2009 in Penick Village of North Carolina.
Elizabeth was born on November 7, 1915 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Anton and Minnie Trolia Ruffus. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and graduated from St. Teresa Catholic High School. She loved to cook and crochet. She was a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She married H. Gene Dawson on February 6, 1939 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1983.
She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla A. Beck and husband Richard of Pinehurst, NC; grandchildren Tracey Oldham Tony of Parker, CO; R. Todd Beck Amy of Whitsett, NC; great-grandchildren, Travis, Tyler, Tara, and Noah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Linda Sue, and Brother, Donald.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday November 16, 2009 in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Rick Weltin as Celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Penick Village, East Rhode Island Ave, Southern Pines, NC, 28388-2001.
