Elizabeth M. "Liz" "Betsy" Taylor's Obituary
Decatur – Elizabeth M. “Liz” “Betsy” Taylor, 79, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Liz was born February 7, 1936 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Harry and Nora Johnson. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and retired from ADM where she worked as an administrative assistant. In her spare time Liz was a volunteer at church and St. Mary’s Hospital. She married William P. “Bill” Taylor on April 15, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN.
Surviving is her husband, Bill of Decatur; children: Les (Karen) Taylor of Oakley, Lee Taylor of Decatur, and Becky (Jeff) Miterko of Highland Village, TX. Liz is also survived by six grandchildren: Brad and Lindsey Taylor, Justin and Jeff Taylor, Zach and Taylor Miterko and six great grandchildren.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Johnson and sister Helen Selvaggio.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be 1 pm, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
