Elizabeth Martin's Obituary
Decatur – Elizabeth Martin, 63, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Elizabeth was born on December 17, 1962, in Greenwood, MS, to Houston Martin and Rosie Lee (Nash) Beard. A homemaker, Elizabeth worked previously as a correctional officer for the Macon County Sherrif’s office. She was faithful to the Lord and enjoyed walking, aerobics, reading her bible, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Stephinee Coleman (Freeman) and husband Nicholas Freeman of Decatur; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four brothers, two sisters, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Private family services will be held.
