Elizabeth Ann Siders' Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Taylor Siders, 67, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She will have eternal life with our Lord in Heaven and remain forever in the hearts of those who love her.
Elizabeth, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, was born on January 20, 1957, in Decatur. She was the daughter of the late Dean Arthur and Doris Jean Doty Taylor.
She married Sami Sue Siders on November 7, 2013, in Keokuk, Iowa. They were loving partners for 35 years and Sami is truly heartbroken; the beautiful memories of her sweet Elizabeth will sustain her until they meet again. She was a sweet, kind, and gentle soul, who loved her children unconditionally.
Elizabeth worked outside the home as an LPN. She was a compassionate, caring nurse who worked in both acute and longterm care for over 25 years. Her profession was her passion. She also loved reading, gardening, bird watching, swimming in the pool during the summer, and enjoying the time that she spent with her family.
Alongside her wife, Sami, she is survived by their three children: Angela (Rob) St. Clair, Lisa Siders, and Daniel F. (Kelly) Bennett; grandchildren, Lauren (Aaron) Moses, Eric Bennett, Rachael (Adrian) Beard, Luke (Matti) Roberts, Austin Merriman, Jansen Merriman, Kaesen Bennett, Koah Bennett, Koralie Bennett, Kallum Bennett, and Keirlena Bennett; greatgrandchildren, Ryan, Owen, Kinley, and Lilly; and three brothers, Tim (Dawn) Taylor, Mike Taylor, and Robbie Taylor.
The family of Elizabeth Siders will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Deb Moses. She will be laid to rest in Graceland Cemetery immediately following the service.
Special thanks to HSHS Hospice for their care, support and compassion, and to Pastor Deb Moses of New Vision Church for her kindness and thoughtfulness.
