Ella Mae Clark's Obituary
Ella Mae Clark, 80, of Decatur departed this life on Tuesday September 29, 2009 in McKinley Court Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday October 3, 2009 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family is requesting memorials to McKinley Court Care Center Activity Room.
Ella Mae was born in Brownsville, TN on December 8, 1928 the daughter of Anna Dickerson and Tom Clark. She operated a residential cleaning service for 45 years in Decatur prior to her retirement. She was an avid Cub fan and enjoyed fishing and listening to the Blues, especially B.B. King.
Her sweet spirit will live on in the loved ones that she leaves behind. Ella Mae is survived by her daughters: Thelma Bonds and Deborah Clark-Outlaw Lloyd; special niece/daughter: Katie Jean Greer; special niece/ friend: Bessie M. Bond; special nephew/son: Hubert Clark, all of Decatur; brothers: James Henning of Nashville, TN; Tommie Clark of Brownsville, TN; sisters: Ora Bella and Classie Womack of Denmark, TN, and Berta Hines of Brownsville, TN; grandchildren: LaTasha Clark and Brandon Clark of Decatur; special great-granddaughter: Brakyia Clark; special friend/son: Leonard and the Perlmutter family; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Mary Louise; three sisters: Adina Burton, Flossie Clark and Katie Mae Clark; three brothers: Willie Chism, Jessie Clark and Alboy Clark.
Ella Mae will be sorely missed by friends and family alike.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to home caregiver, Mary Dear and the staff at McKinley Court Care Center, especially Cassandra, Shelly, Stephanie and Joyce.
