Ella J. Lee's Obituary
Ella J. Lee of Decatur, IL was called to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Ella was born November 18, 1952 in Joyner, AR the daughter of Laura Lee of Decatur, IL (Joyner, AR) and Ira Lee II of Decatur, IL (Shreveport, LA). She graduated from Lakeview High School in 1970. She worked for the Ambassador Hotel and also the Kite Factory before both were shut down. She was a very unique and beautiful person who loved to play bingo, spend time with family and friends, and dress up.
Ella leaves behind precious memories two sons both of Decatur, IL Thurman Lee and Eric Eubanks; very special loved one, Joe Louis Jelks; sisters, Gladys Lee (Cole), Gracie Lee, Letha Lee, Linda Lee (McFarland) all of Decatur; Ina Lee of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Harold T. (Jeri) Lewis of Indianapolis, IN; Ira Lee III and Charles Lee both of Decatur; grandchildren, Chasity Graves, Dominique Lee, Michael Lee, Thurman Lee Jr., Akeemah Lee, Akeelah Lee, Maliaha Eubanks, and Mikaela Eubanks all of Decatur; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ella will be truly missed as she has passed on into the next phase of life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Lee and Ira Lee II; grandmother, Addie Turner; sister, Janet Lee, and nephew, Justin Redman.
Homegoing service celebrating Ella’s life will be 11 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
