Elsie M. Bernard's Obituary
Elsie M. Bernard, 82, of Decatur passed away at 10:10 am Tuesday February 28, 2006 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 1 pm Friday in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, where visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 pm. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to be given to the American Heart Association. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the Bernard Family with these arrangements.
Elsie was born on March 01, 1923 in Nokomis, the daughter of Ray and Rosella Goldsborough Barton. She married Robert G. Bernard, he preceded her in death in 1989. She worked as a food manager for Interstate United and later for Canteen Cafeteria. She was a former member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Elsie is survived by her three sons, Robert Bernard of Boody, David Bernard of Galesburg and Daniel Bernard of Decatur; one brother, Carl Goldsborough of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
