Ann and Family,My name is Sherry Fisher – I am Rita and Mel Cordes's daughter.I always enjoyed visiting with Elzora and seeing her beautiful handwork.I also got a kick out of her spunk and zest for life.I know that she is now in heaven sewing for all the angels in Heaven.Purple Choir Robes to boot.Mom and Elzora met when my grandmother was beginning to get very demented.Elzora helped to fill some of that void and make the transition/loss much more bearableMy parents also send their condolences. I was very sad to hear of Elzora's passing. I remember visits with her, when my Mother (Willa Mae Medaris, Elzora's cousin) brought me along when I was young. My Mother (who was 89) died in February, or I'm sure she would have been visiting Elzora up to the end. They were both descended from a family of quite amazing and strong women. Elzora was a wonderful friend to my mother, Eleanor Barnes, who lived on Highland PLace in Decatur. They were both born in 1917, a month apart.
