Emma Jean Wilson's Obituary
Emma Jean Wilson, 83, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at McKinley Court in Decatur, Illinois.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Emma will take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April2, 2012 at Grace Baptist Church in Decatur. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. till the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Charity.
Emma was born February 27, 1929 in Macon County, the daughter of Ted and Elberta Lowe. Emma worked as a bookkeeper and accountant and was a unit secretary for Maroa – Forsyth School District and retired from Circle K in Arizona in 1991.
She is survived by her daughters; Linda McKee of Decatur, and Peggy Jim Larson of Findlay, son; Charles Wilson of Bloomington, brother; Glen Lowe of Harristown, sisters; Shirley Slunder of Indiana, and Mary Bob Nettle of Decatur, fifteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter; Paulette, two brothers; Eldon and Leo, and one sister Harriet.
The Family would like to thank the staff of McKinley Court and DMH Hospice for all the kindness and care the showed Emma.
