Emmett Stevenson "Steve" Grandberry's Obituary
Emmett Stevenson “Steve” Grandberry, 72, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 10:05 pm on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital.
Steve was born on December 26, 1952, in Decatur, IL, the son of Jesse Peter Grandberry and Lizzie (Reed) Grandberry.
Steve worked at Wagner Castings in Decatur, IL, for several years. He loved to go fishing and definitely loved chocolate of any kind.
Steve is survived by his two children: Shenell Lisa Grandberry of Decatur, IL, and Brian Scott Grandberry of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Jessie Williams of Decatur, IL; and Steve’s girlfriend of thirty-five years, Lucille Poor of Decatur, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Lavelle, and daughter Maria.
A visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home.
