Erasmus Trymane Clark's Obituary
Decatur - Erasmus Trymane Clark ("Trymane"), of Decatur, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. A private viewing was held at Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory on Friday, October 11, 2024 for his loved ones.
Erasmus was born October 5, 1973 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Clark. He is survived by his two amazing brothers, John (Alabama) and Leumuel Clark (Georgia), Nephew Johnathon Clark, and nieces, Samara and Autumn Clark.
Erasmus attended MacArthur High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, Jodi Smith Clark. They went on to get married on November 27, 1992. They had two beautiful daughters Alissa Butler (married to Darius Butler) and Alexis Clark, who gave him the title of "Gramps" by giving him six grandchildren: Camden, Crue, Carmine, Cavi, Cairo, and Saint.
In conjunction to creating a big, beautiful, and crazy family, Erasmus was a respected member of the army. He also got to carry out his passion for football by going semi-pro for the Macon County Eagles. He was a stellar athlete throughout his life- especially considering he was left-hand dominant when it came to sports- that's no easy feet.
Erasmus was a man of style. He was a foodie. He loved music. He loved to make everyone laugh (which wasn't a hard task considering he was hilarious) he was the life of the party. He was a source of light and love for his family. No matter any obstacles that came his way, he always extended his hand to be there for those that needed him. There are no words to describe just how incredible and commendable he was. He will be missed endlessly, and loved forever.
Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
