Erroll Lee Bowman's Obituary
Erroll L. “Lee” Bowman, 75, of Mt. Zion passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Lee was born on January 1, 1942 in Decatur the son of William C. and Margaret Geraldine (Hazelrigg) Bowman. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Wagner Castings and was an avid fisherman. He married Gail (Fleming) Cox on November 6, 1998 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Gail; son, Michael Bowman (Dawn Plowman) of Decatur; daughter, Christine Freeman (John) of Collinsville, MS; step-sons, Steven Cox of Red Oak, TX; Gary Cox (Rhonda) of Decatur; Larry Cox of Tuscola; step-daughters, Sherri Gadberry (Dale Porter) of Mattoon; Susan Davis (Dave) of Tuscola; brothers, William Bowman (Nancy) of Decatur; Tim Bowman (Sue) of Mattoon; Deb Bowman (Cyndi) of Oakley; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Patrica Koshinski.
Celebration of life service will be 5:30 PM Thursday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4 – 5:30 PM Thursday in the Funeral Home. The family request casual attire. Memorials are suggested to the Macon County Animal Shelter.
