Ervin Lynn "Little Abner" Heidlebaugh 86 of Decatur, formerly of Pana passed away on August 31, Sunday 2003 in Cedarwood Health Care Center in Decatur.
There will be no services. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in the Van Vorrhus Cemetery in Hindsboro, Illinois. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.
Ervin was born on February 2, 1917 in Morton, Illinois, the son of Addison Eli and Amanda Francis Jones Heidlebaugh. He was a yard clerk for the Wabash Railroad for over 25 years. During World War II he served in the Conservation Corps. He married
Leota Del Farrell Peters on December 31, 1939, she preceded him death, he later married Mary Jane Anderson in 1962, she also preceded him in death.
Survivors include, two sons; James Louise Heidlebaugh of Decatur, Charles Lutte Heidlebaught of North Ridge, California; two daughters, Betty Stewart of Decatur, Ruth Durham of Lincoln, Illinois. 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
