Ethel A. Unger's Obituary
Ethel A. Unger, 86, of Decatur, died on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006 in her home.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Mon. Aug. 7, 2006 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, Rev. Richard Scott officiating; visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be at a later date in Wares Grove Cemetery.
Ethel was born on Apr. 29, 1920 in Latimer, KS the daughter of Lawrence and Vera Wilkerson Adkinson. Ethel was a homemaker who was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and volunteer at the DMH Thrift Store for more that ten years. She married Robert W. Unger on Mar. 15, 1980 in Decatur and he preceded her in death on Apr. 8, 2004.
Surviving are her children: Lester Billy Johnson of Mema, AR; Charles Sybil Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA. and Russell Debbie Vick of Lithia Springs, GA; step-children: Steve Ellen Unger of Texas, Paul Donna Unger of Iowa, Charles Sharon Unger of Edwardsville and Kathleen Howard Kreiselmeyer of CO; brother, Gene Adkinson of OK; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 1 sister.
The family of Ethel A. Unger is being served by the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe St. Decatur.
