The last time I saw Bud and Marty was in August of 2004, at Catherine and Noah's wedding in Starkville, MS. They came as the oldest living Scherer relatives to help us celebrate. We had a great time after the wedding, sitting around the pool and sharing memories. Bud and Marty used to come to the house to play bridge with Mom and Dad. He always teased mother about her "beady eyes" looking at her cards so she could win. When Mom was in the nursing home he regularly stopped by after work to visit her even when she no longer recognized him, or any of us. Thank you Bud, and Marty too for the love you shared with the Scherer family. Mary Frances Scherer Brilley

Thinking of his family at this time. Also remembering all the great times we had on the tennis court in the neighborhood. Bud was a great friend and neighbor and I wish him peace. He and Marty are together again.
