Eugenia M Brilley's Obituary
Eugenia M. Brilley, 94, of Decatur passed away at 2:21 pm November 05, 2005 residence.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 10:30 am Thursday November 10, 2005 in Central Christian Church, where Rev. Charles Watkins will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm Wednesday in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army in Eugenia’s Name.
Eugenia was born in Polo on October 09, 1911 the daughter of Edgar and Eugenia M. Thomas Clinton. She married Perry Joseph “PJ” Brilley in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1976. She attended St. James Catholic Church; and later became a member of Central Christian Church. She was as a P.E. teacher for DPS #61, first working at John’s Hill School from 1932-1938 then later she taught at Woodrow-Wilson School from 1959-1976. She was a member of the Macon County Home Extension, Retired Teachers, American Legion Auxiliary, Lambda Tau Delta Sorority, DAR, and St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Eugenia leaves behind her sons; Thomas wife, Mary Frances Brilley of Corinth, MS and Michael wife, Ann Brilley of Wayzata, MN; grandchildren, Matthew wife, Caroline Brilley, Carol Jean husband Jackie Smith, Catherine husband, Noah Babiarz, Jane Brilley and Joan Brilley; great grandchildren, Thomas Bailey Brilley, Nicholas Brilley, Steven Allen and she also leaves behind many friends.
Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
