Evelyn V. Hefner's Obituary
Evelyn V. Hefner 90 of Decatur died Friday November 17, 2006 in McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday November 21, 2006 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00 -7:00 pm Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church or McKinley Court Nursing Home activities fund.
Evelyn was born on May 12, 1916 in Crocker, MO the daughter of Floy and Icy Carrol Cadwell. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church of Decatur. She worked as a Moultrie County Deputy Clerk in Sullivan, IL and for the city water works of Henryetta, OK.
She is survived by her children, Louie Joyce Hefner of Colcord, OK; Lonnie Carol Hefner of Avon, IN; Judy Jim Cornell of Decatur, IL; Janet Larry Jamison of Del City, OK; sister, Eileen Melland of Mt. Vernon, WA; grandchildren, Julie Anne Juarez of Colcord, OK; Louie Hefner Jr. of Marion, NC; Juanita Muckleroy of Fayetteville, AR; Larry Hefner of Grapevine, TX; Jackie Johnson of Waxahachie, TX; Steve Brown Jr. of Champaign, IL; Lisa Jamison of Del City, OK; Teri Jamison of Del City, OK; Jason Hefner of Etna-Green, IN; Eric Hefner of Indianapolis, IN; step-grandchildren, Steve Cornell of Decatur, IL; David Cornell of Decatur, IL; Cathy Funk of Indianapolis, IN; fifteen great-grandchildren, fourteen step-great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and nine step-great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and special friends at the woods Apartments in Decatur, Riverside Baptist Church of Decatur, and Sunnylane Baptist Church in Del City, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Pauline Baker and Marie Evans.
"Mom" you were a wonderful mother. You worked so hard to raise us with very little help. You made sure we all knew the Lord. You were also a good Grandma and friend to many, Thank you. We love you and will miss you so very much especially all your hugs. We know you are getting and giving those hugs in heaven now.
Thank you to Dr. Paul Stanley and Dr. Steve Weber and Dr. Dennis Lockhart for many years of good care and most recently, Dr. McCormack and Mary Lee and Dr. D. Patel and Heather.
