Evelyn Lucille Smith's Obituary
Evelyn Lucille Smith 94 of Sullivan formerly of Decatur died Thursday November 23, 2006 in East View Terrace Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday November 28, 2006 in Peoples Church of God, 833 W. Pershing Rd. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday in the church. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery; Long Creek Twp., IL. Memorials can be made to the Peoples Church of God.
Evelyn was born on October 19, 1912 in Elwin, IL the daughter of Louis Edward and Anna Augusta Knotts Mowry. She was a member of the Peoples Church of God and worked as a forklift operator for Caterpillar for over 12 years. She married Ernest James Smith. He preceded her in death in 1965.
She is survived by her sons, Leo W. Smith and wife Edna R. "Nellie" of Sullivan, IL; Richard R. Smith and wife Teressa A. of Decatur, IL; daughter, Karon D. Ginger and husband Nial Sr. of Warrensburg, IL; daughter-in-law Lola Smith of Sullivan, IL; and over one hundred grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Ronald Smith and George Smith, two daughters, Edwina Smith and Diana Grossman, four brothers and four sisters, two grandsons, and one great-grandson.
