Evelyn B. Wilson's Obituary
Evelyn B. Wilson, 95, of Decatur, passed away at 4:22 am, Monday, June 4, 2007, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral liturgy will be 11 am, Thursday, June 7, 2007, in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home where visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will take place in Boiling Springs Cemetery
Evelyn was born November 19, 1911, the daughter of Frank and Molly Cloney. She was raised in a Catholic Orphanage in Alton and later attended the Loretta Academy in Chicago. Over the years she's enjoyed attending St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church. She worked in he Macon County Sheriff's Dept. analyzing and classifying fingerprints for many years. Later she was employed at Millikin National Bank working in the Safe Deposit Vault.
Surviving are her daughters: Mrs. Norma Coulter of Decatur, and Mrs. Robert Pat Gist of South Haven, MI; grandsons: Michael Coulter and wife Maxine of Decatur, and Brian McGill and wife Janine of Bloomington; great grandsons: Michael Coulter, Jr. of Decatur, Jeremy Coulter of Champaign, and Liam McGill of Bloomington; great granddaughter, Bailey McGill of Bloomington; great-great grandson, Justin Coulter of Decatur; many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Virgil Bear and Hershal Wilson; brothers: John and Bert Cloney, and sister, Blanche Walker.
She was very interested in politics and an avid reader who loved biographies and mysteries. Evelyn was a very special lady and all that knew her loved her. She will be very deeply missed.
