Everett Mendenall's Obituary
Everett E. “Butch” Mendenall, originally of Decatur, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008, at the Burn Unit in Augusta, Georgia due to work related injuries.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday June 18, 2008 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Chaplin Dean Snokes officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 ' 8:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
He was born May 3, 1968 in St. Mary’s Hospital. He attended school in Bethany, Illinois. While in life Butch proudly served his country in the Army. He was known for his love of racing, Harley Davidson’s, and traveling. He was a devoted family man, wonderful father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and a good friend to all he knew in his life.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne Mendenall, three sons, Ryan Mendenall, Herndon Mendenall, and Mikka Mendenall, his mother, Sheila Trussell, grandmother, Ruby Mendenall, fiancée Amanda Wade and her children, Miranda and Rusty Wade, sisters, Kimberly Lynch and Kelley Zajicek, nieces, Amanda Lynch Grimes, Katelin Gordon, and Cassidy Gordon, nephew, David D. Lynch. one great niece, Haley Grimes and one great nephew, David Grimes, two uncles, Bill Best and Dan Philippi, his very special friends, Jamie Alexander and Red Lynch, and many other family members.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon L. Mendenall and his step-son, Jerry L. Watson.
He will be loved and missed by many. “Death is the Golden Key that opens the Palace of Eternity”
