Florence Marie Banning's Obituary
Florence Marie Banning, 80, of Decatur, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Florence was born February 20, 1932, in Decatur, the daughter of Ellen Hendricks Baldridge. A member of West Side Church Of The Nazarene, Florence worked as a clerk typist at the Decatur Signal Depot, Chanute Air Force Base and Great Lakes Naval Base before retiring in 1973. She married Clarence E. Banning June 13, 1959 in Decatur and he preceded her in death July 7, 2007. Also preceding her in death were her mother; brothers: Paul, Heber, Everett, Clarence and Dale; sisters: Ellen, Mary and LaNelle.
Surviving is her daughter, Ellie Case and favorite son-in-law, Kenny of Decatur; grandchildren: Jamie husband, Pat Horve and Jon Lohse; great grandchildren: Trisha Lohse, Gabby and Emily Horve; niece, Jolene husband, Courtney Watson; nephew, Jason Crosswhite and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will take place in Harristown Cemetery.
