Florence Elizabeth Tosh's Obituary
Florence Elizabeth Wikle Tosh, 91, of Decatur, was promoted to glory and went to be with her Savior, on Tuesday April 06, 2004 in Fair Havens Christian Home with her family and Pastor at her side.
Services celebrating her life will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 in the Salvation Army Citadel, 229 West Main St. Decatur, with visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Salvation Army Citadel. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home are in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Ladies Home League of Decatur.
Florence was born on June 07, 1912 in Decatur, the daughter of John H. and Sarah E. "Sadie" Record Wikle. She was a homemaker and a Faithful Soldier of the Salvation Army. Florence loved God and the Salvation Army. She belonged to the Ladies Home League, League of Mercy, rang bells, sold War Crys and was a prayer Warrior. She loved going to the Salvation Army Camps, traveling and playing the tambourine in the string band. Florence married John Tosh on July 03, 1933 in Clinton and he preceded her in death on February 05, 1995.
Surviving are her children: John "Bud" Tosh of Danville; Shirley Hepperle, husband Carroll of Lutz, FL; Judith Hall, husband Edward of Decatur; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, and two brothers preceded her in death.
