Floyd Wayne “Butch” Schlosser, 73, of Decatur passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Butch was born on March 29, 1944 in Decatur the son of Floyd Warren and Mary Louise (Fortner) Schlosser. He was a member of New Beginnings Church of God in Decatur. He married Wanda O. Smith on June 24, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda; daughters, Sherri L. Ragan (Gary) of Decatur; Melissa A. Logue of Campton; step-sons, Glen E. Smith Jr. of Mt. Zion; David L. Smith of Melbourne, FL; brother, David Schlosser (Alice) of Decatur; sisters, Connie R. Flemmings (David) of Decatur; Donna Jenkins (Leonard) of Belleville; Mary Dillman (Scott) of Decatur; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sons.
Funeral Service to celebrate Butch’s life will be 11 AM Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in New Beginnings Church of God. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to New Beginnings Church of God.
