Forrest James DePeugh's Obituary
Forrest James DePeugh Sr, 83, of Decatur, died on Saturday, May 20, 2006 in Decatur.
Services celebrating his life will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2006, in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home where visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Williamsfield Cemetery, Williamsfield, IL. Memorials may be made the American Diabetes Association.
Forrest was born on Nov. 14, 1922 in Williamsfield, the son of Charles F. and Marie Loman DePeugh. He was a mechanic and worked for Boat Land in Mt. Zion and then Stubblefields in Sullivan. Forrest was an Army Veteran of WWII. He married J. Viola Buhl on October 6, 1945 in Elmwood and she preceded him in death on Dec. 12, 2005.
Surviving are his children, Forrest J. Sue DePeugh, Jr. and Paul E. Edna DePeugh all of Decatur; daughter, Sara N. Danny Carpenter of Old Hickory, TN; sister, Donna J. Henry Wright of Jacksonville; daughter like niece, Judy Norman Hayden of Owensboro, KY; 4 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren..
Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother, 3 sisters and one daughter, Judith Ann DePeugh in 1950.
