Frances Bernice Nesler's Obituary
Frances Bernice Nesler, 88, of Decatur, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at Imboden Creek Living Center.
Bernice was born March 10, 1920, in Hoopston, the daughter of Cloyde and Rozanna Jewell Collins. She attended the Baptist church and loved to do crewel needle work. Bernice married Wilbur Glenn Grunden and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1944. She then married Charles Sherman Nesler on April 13, 1950. Bernice and Sherman owned and operated Nesler’s Market for several years. Sherman preceded her in death on October 13, 1974.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Virgil Reed of Decatur; grandchildren: Paula Morthland of Summit, Laura Rodney Reedy of Paducah, KY, Paul Susan Reed of Ellisville, MO, and Tony Morthland of Leroy; great-grandchildren: Timothy Morthland, Jessica Reedy, Kaitlyn Reed and Austin Reed.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; sister, Jewell Du Frane and great-grandson, Andrew Reed.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 pm Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. Interment: Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: American Heart Association.
