Francis A. "Frank" Klingelschmitt's Obituary
Francis A. 'Frank' Klingelschmitt, 85, of Decatur, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 in his home with his family at his side.
Frank was born November 28, 1927, in Chicago, son of Francis A. and Alma (Ernst) Klingelschmitt. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and member of Ss. James & Patrick Catholic Church, Frank worked as a manager of an electric motor repair company. He enjoyed wood working, yard work, and cutting down trees. Frank married Mary J. Tadlock November 16, 1968 in Chicago.
Surviving is his wife, Mary of Decatur; children: Sonia Wierenga of Pekin, Brian (Tina) Wierenga of Grand Ridge, and Michele (Chris) Hummel of CN; twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sister, Milly Kosinar of Berwyn; brother, Herbert Klingelschmitt of Lansing; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Paul and Joseph and sister, Donna.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate his life will be 11:15 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2013 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rev. John Burnette Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, February 7, 2013 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; vigil prayer service 4:30 pm. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park with military rites conducted by the Macon County honor Guard.
