Francis Eugene "Gene" Willis' Obituary
Decatur – Francis “Gene” Willis, age 62 passed away on Thursday, December 21st at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Gene was born on July 31st, 1955 to Helen Frazier and Ralph Willis in Decatur, IL.
Gene was a wonderful father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling with his daughters and grandchildren.
Gene was a semi-truck driver for many years before moving on to Versitech Inc. as a supervisor.
Gene is survived by his daughters: Kimberly Gaona and husband Mario, Kristina Chavira and husband Jesus, Amy Ray and husband Brian, Lisa Freeman, and Katrina Willis. Sons Michael Horn and Steven Willis all of Decatur, IL. His grandchildren Gayge, Carlos, Alyssia, Emma, Selena, Yasalin, Dominique, Bailey, and Anthony also of Decatur, IL. His adopted father Gene Willis and wife Dorothy of Leroy, IL. His sisters Pearl, Shirley, and Jean. His brother Steven Willis of Springfield, IL.
Gene was proceeded in death by his birth mother and father, his son Anthony Willis, and his brother Butch Willis.
Gene will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 10 AM, Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will be one hour before the services.
