Frank August Stanick's Obituary
Frank August Stanick, 73, of Decatur, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born June 14, 1946, in Chicago, IL to Andrew John and Anna Mary (Faryan) Stanioch. He proudly served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He married Edna Jean Lee on July 18, 1970, in Dix, IL. She passed away July 1, 2008. Frank loved Elvis Presley, singing Karaoke and making people laugh. He never met a stranger.
He is survived by his four daughters, Angela Pruitt, JoAnna Stanick, Veronica Armstrong and Nichole Stanick; six grandchildren, Alicia Goodman, Keith Pruitt, Ashley and Austin Beadles, Ben and Abbi Armstrong; three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Cassandra and Conner Goodman; one step-great-granddaughter; his sister, Barbara Butler; and his companion, Shirley Mudd
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edna; his brother, John Stanioch and his sister, Theresa Burger.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Frank Stanick will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2020, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Cancer Care Specialists of Decatur 210 West McKinley, Decatur, IL 62526.
