Fred T. Singleton's Obituary
Fred T. Singleton, 80, of Decatur, was called home on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
Fred was born May 12, 1938, in Brownsville, TN, to Joseph Earl and Helen (Mann) Singleton. He married Eunice White on December 30, 1959 and together they raised five beautiful children, in Brownsville, TN. Fred loved to cook and play softball, but most of all, spending time with his family. He retired from Wagoners Casting after 30 plus years of employment. Fred was also a pillar at St. Peters Methodist Church in Brownsville, TN.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eunice; four children, James Singleton, Lee Singleton, Sheila (Kenneth) Ambrose and Sylvia (Kenny) Robinson all of Decatur; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roosevelt (Delores) Singleton of Springfield, James (Erma) Singleton of Decatur and Billy (Bernice) Singleton of Decatur; and one sister, Juanita (James) Nicholson of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Helen Singleton and four brothers.
Homegoing services to celebrate the life of Fred T. Singleton will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2019, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with the Minister Kenneth Ambrose, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
