Frenchie Johnson's Obituary
Decatur – Frenchie Johnson, 88, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
Frenchie was born in Perthshire, MS, a son of Jim Johnson and Lizzie Smith. He attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pershire, MS, and worked as a welder at Mueller Company.
Surviving are his children: William Johnson, Leon Johnson, Stevie Johnson, Larry Johnson and Kenny Johnson; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Arletha Johnson; longtime companion, Johnnye M. Fleming; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frenchie was preceded in death by his parents; son Frenchie, Jr, daughter Diane and 16 siblings.
Homegoing service will be 11 am, Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N. Oakland Ave., Decatur, IL 62526; visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
