Gary Patrick Doolin's Obituary
Gary Patrick Doolin, 68, of Freeport, FL, formerly of Decatur, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in Florida.
Gary was born January 4, 1940, in Decatur, the son of John Edward and Faye Mildred Walker Doolin. He worked as a truck driver for K.C. Trucking and McBride Trucking. Gary was a member of the Teamsters & Chauffeurs Local #279. He loved fishing and camping but his greatest love was running freight across the country.
He is survived by his children: Patricia Michelle, Gary Michael, Cheryl Lynn and Stephanie Renee; brother, Lonnie Nova Doolin; sister, Winifred Richard Ray; grandchildren: Stephen Michael, Ashley Nichole, Savannah Kaye, Sara Emily, Joshua Lynn and Jesse Daniel; former wife, Mary Helen; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Dolores Puckett and Betty Waltens.
Graveside service will be 10 am, Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Calvary Cemetery, Decatur. There will be no visitation. Memorials: Multiple Sclerosis Society.
