Gary William Jackson's Obituary
Gary W. Jackson, 71, of Latham, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 27, 2026, in Springfield, IL.
He was born on March 8, 1955, in Decatur, IL, to the late James Jackson and Marilyn Luebke Jackson. He was a lifetime farmer and served as a longtime director of the Farmers Grain Company of Central Illinois, located in Latham. In the past, he had also served as a trustee of the Latham Fire Protection District.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Gayle Wheeler.
He will be remembered as a loving husband to Linda Trump Jackson; caring father to Ben Jackson, Sarah (Andy) Wheeler, Jared Park, Trent (Jamie) Park, Rebekah (Dan) Wickline, Laura (Toni) Jackson, and Jill (Andrew) McQuellon; beloved brother to Ron (Patty) Jackson; and a wonderful ‘Opa’ to twelve grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Memorial service will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by burial at Boiling Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Latham Fire Protection District and to Vale Church in Bloomington, IL.
